The Eden Isles neighborhood was an upscale bedroom community in Slidell, LA that sat on the northeastern edge of Lake Pontchartrain. Most of the homes appeared to have docks in the backyard for mooring private boats. A rapid survey of the area suggested that almost no house in the community was habitable as a result of the extensive damage from Hurricane Katrina.
